There’s just something about Superheroes that intrigues many of us. The Superheroes that we think of are often noble, courageous, honorable and many kids all over the world look up to them.

The Dress-up Drawer is a cute little site that makes custom hero capes so that your kids can take a little piece of superhero-awesomeness home for themselves.

I would choose the Bright Star fabric with a big, gigantic letter O. The letter O stands for Owen, my 4 year old nephew with whom I have a very special relationship.

I am the aunt that plays with him, which means crawling around in sand piles with the contruction “mequipment”, giving piggy back rides, creating roads with play-doh, building structures which only make sense to Owen, pretending that the “peoples” can climb the stairs, go in and out of doors, drive boats, drive the trucks, unload the trucks, and read the same book 4 times in a row, every time I see him. He is the joy and light of my life.

Owen teaches me things every time I see him and brings out the kid in me. We often discuss what behavior will put us both into time out (with no toys and no books), hint: it often involves water, and which uncle or aunt or grampa is silliest. We still manage to get a glare or two from Mommy of Daddy or even Uncle Bob (my husband), who has actually rekindled a love of model trains in both Daddy and Grampa.

Owen is simply an cute, mischievous 4 year old that has opened the doors for a lot of magic in his aunts’, uncles’, grandma’s and grampa’s lives. Simply said, I am very, very lucky to have Owen in my life.

For that, in my mind, he can have any Superhero Cape with a gigundo Letter O on it.
