Tooth Fairy
{By Michelle ~ March 16, 2009}
This is the scene at my house every morning. My daughter wakes up, hops on her stool to get a good look at herself in the mirror, opens her mouth really wide and checks for wiggly teeth. Then I hear, “Mom! I think one is loose.” She is five and anxiously waiting for that first tooth to be loose.
I have decided to get ready for that super exciting day. So what do I need? I’ve been on the search and found a few things that will make each loose tooth an exciting event. Why shouldn’t it be?
First, I will need the ever important Tooth Fairy Pillow. You have to have something cute to put that little tooth in, right? I found a great collection at Etsy, of course.

You can find them at these fabulous shoppes:
Next, I will need a story to read at bedtime. I searched Amazon and found a great collection for girls and boys at any age. The Night Before the Tooth Fairy is a book that I thought my sweet girl would like.

And last but certainly not least, a certificate from the Tooth Fairy or a Talking Tooth Fairy Letter. How excited will your child be to receive this!

So now I’m ready and waiting, just like my daughter. What special things do you do when your little one has a loose tooth?

Very cute ideas - the pillows are great! I still remember being excited about losing a tooth when I was 5 too.
BTW I love your blog!
These are great ideas. I love the pillows! They are so much cuter then the one that I threw together for Abigail. I think that perhaps this time I will just buy one. Abigail was a pain though. She always wrote the tooth fairy letters which the “tooth fairy” then had to write back! She asked why she needed all of the teeth, she asked why do they have to be white. It was not easy but the tooth fairy is very convincing.

very cute pillows, and other items on website. I would love to win the football or the car pillow. Never read this book but I am sure my Grandson woul d love it.
These are such cute ideas. Your little girl is very lucky to have such a thoughtful mom.
Good luck with the tooth fairy!

I love your ideas! My poor little boy would feel cheated if he saw all the great things you’re doing for your little girl. We just stick the tooth in a sandwich bag and put it under his pillow. Then sometime during the night, the tooth fairy removes the tooth and replaces it with a couple of bucks. I know - pretty boring.
I used to want to make these for my daughters!
I don’t have a little one yet, but I still remember how special my Mom made tooth fairy visits. She handmade each of us heart shaped tooth fairy pillows out of hankies and lace and we even received fairy dust covered letters from the tooth fairy on her first visit.
Still have no idea how she snuck into our rooms and stuck little gifts under our pillows without waking us.
It sounds like you are going to make your daughters tooth fairy visits equally as memorable. And the book above is just too great.
Great ideas! My dd will turn 6 in July. She hasn’t lost any teeth yet. Her two front teeth are lose. And she says the tooth fairy will leave her a $1 per tooth.
Love the pillows! So cute. And…What a great idea with the book!
