Fall Down Tree Giveaway!

September 15, 2008 by Emily · 113 Comments

After searching for the perfect prints to adorn the wall of their first born’s nursery, Jill begged her husband Adam to draw something himself (since his favorite response to something like this is… “I could totally make that”).

Their ideas & designs have now expanded into a beautiful collection of wall art called Fall Down Tree. Isn’t their story inspirational? It’s the kind that gives you that needed courage to go out and make your dreams happen.

Not only is Fall Down Tree inspirational, but their art seriously WOWED me. You have to check it out, I know you will be impressed.

I’m really excited to share Isabell’s Umbrella with you today! I was recently introduced to this beautiful artwork and was amazed to learn that each piece is hand drawn and digitally colored.

Ashley, the artist behind this Etsy Shoppe, prints her work to display in frames, note cards, stationery, shirts and more. I personally love soft the colors and think that they would be a lovely fit for a nursery too! If you have a chance to visit her shoppe and see more of her work, I think it will definitely brighten your day.

Celebrating Daily Sentiments

August 7, 2008 by Emily · 1 Comment

Believing that there is a unique beauty in all of us, Eclectique Soul paper shoppe creates hand-drawn art that aims to celebrate diverse cultures and occasions. This lovely artwork is displayed in the form of personalized stationery, invitations, announcements, stickers and porcelain keepsake plates.

What I love about Eclectique Soul is their attention to the finest details and how each fanciful illustration captures the essence of your occasion. I have the pleasure of owning a few of Eclectique Soul products and noticed that every card and invitation has been intricately designed and individually hand decorated with an assortment of crystals, glitter and festive pop-up embellishments. They really have you in mind when fulfilling your order.

Sidewalk Chalk

Summer is so close! To get you even more excited, here is a fun project for a summer day.

Sidewalk Chalk

  • Plaster of Paris
  • Water
  • Food Coloring

Mix 2 quarts Plaster of Paris (you can find this at your local craft or hardware store) with 1 quart of water.

Mix in your favorite food coloring and then pour the mix into a little cardboard tube that is 3 inches high (you can get this tube from your paper towel rolls or toilet paper rolls).

Let the mixture dry (this may take a few days). Remove the chalk from the tube and let the artwork begin.

Off The Wall

Off The Wall, created and orchestrated by two women, is a charming little site with “one of a kind art featuring frames and home furnishings made out of salvaged wood, moldings and vintage items.  Each frame is hand built, and custom finished with colors and artwork that is carefully picked for each piece, no two are truly alike.”

Since visiting this site myself, I have been impressed with their fresh ideas for spring and their spring vignette displays. Definitely worth checking out.
