My Happy Weekend and Lindee Shoppe Opening

{By Emily ~ December 1, 2008}

How was your Thanksgiving Weekend? Mine was happy. Can you tell? I haven’t posted for 5 days and loved the break. We went to beautiful St. George to visit family and it was just all-around gorgeous. We slept in, ate a lot of pie and turkey, went on a hike and enjoyed the warm weather. Here’s a picture from our hike: (isn’t this view awesome?)

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Now for my big shoppe news: Lindee Shoppe is now open. Yea! It brings me great joy to say those words. It’s really open. I’ve been working on this shoppe and coordinating with my friend Catherine over the last few months and it’s finally finished!

It took me a while as there was quite a bit to figure out - setting up my business, the business bank account, getting all of the licenses I needed, learning about sales taxes, building an e-commerce site and deciding which products to sell. Thankfully, it’s now underway, fwew!  I am even more impressed with anyone who has ever set up an online store, now I know, and my hat truly goes off to you.

It’s kind of small right now - I am just selling these cute marble magnet sets to see how it goes. I am planning to fill my shoppe with pretty handmade accessories for your home and kitchen. ;) My goal is to expand and grow (of course) - so you should be able to see a lot more items appearing within the next few weeks!!

What do you think about it? Have you set up a shoppe before? If so, I would love to know about your experience. Currently, every item in the shoppe is under $10! And if you like it enough to purchase a few sets, I’m also offering 10% off with code: lindee10

    I thought everything on your new web store is beautiful-love the look of the whole site too! I used to live in the St. George area-It is one of the best most gorgeous places to live and raise a family!!! It was hard for me to move away from there. But I have come to really love where we live now :)
    Good luck with your store-I think it is wonderful!

    Emily, my oh my, you’ve been busy! The shoppe looks fabulous. I was laughing out loud when you were describing the work that goes into starting a small business and web store. Boy, do I know the feeling! You should be proud of yourself, everything looks superb!
