I Loved Twilight

{By Emily ~ November 21, 2008}

Taking another Window Shoppe blog break to divulge about the movie…

I simply loved it. I can’t wait to see it again. (Squeal!) I know other websites have been giving it a big thumbs up and I definitely agree. I’m not a movie critic…but I am a Twilight lover and I know that it was worth the wait - I was just a little bit nervous beforehand wondering if it was possible for the movie to be as good as the book…and I think they did a great job interpreting and following the book.

I don’t want to give too much away (I probably will - so if you don’t want to know stop reading now!), because I know a lot of you are dying to see it still, but I thought that the characters were just right and completely fascinating - they fit their descriptions really well. Since it was sort of a teen movie there was of course a little teen cheesiness here and there (you already knew that)…but that’s really just part of Twilight altogether and part of what makes it fun.

What surprised me the most was how much it made me laugh, some parts were really amusing! There was laughter and giggling all throughout the movie…I definitely wasn’t expecting that, but the funny moments seamlessly fit in and if you’ve read the book and know a few inside things, some of the scenes are even funnier.

The love scenes were perfect and the fight scenes were definitely suspenseful….OK, OK…I’m stopping. I could keep raving about it - so go see it when you get the chance, if you’re a twilight fan I’m pretty sure you’ll love it too!! ;)

One last thing, lets talk about the mega-fans at the midnight showing. Wow. It felt like the mall at Christmas, it was packed and there were definitely Team Edward and Team Jacob groups by the masses - many of which were in pj’s. It was so fun and I’m really glad that I was there.

Did you see it? What did you think? Did you love it too?

    Okay. I think I’ll really have to check out the book at the library…and then go see the movie. Your enthusiasm is contagious.

    I thought it was okay. I actually think the casting could have been better (Bella was terrible). But I still enjoyed seeing the story on screen.

    I give it a B but still even saying that, I enjoyed myself. I can see how they can really make it develop and make it better for the other books/movies. And-I still swooned over Edward!!!!

    Twilight has sunk its proverbial teeth into pop culture since the film’s release on Nov. 21. By now, your tweens and teens have probably seen the box-office winner multiple times – and maybe you have, too!

    The wildly popular vampire romance is as big a hit with the adult set as it is with kids, and Common Sense Media has plenty of content to help you enjoy Twilight right alongside your kids, including an exclusive, one-on-one video interview with your daughter’s newest crush, Twilight star Robert Pattinson at http://www.commonsensemedia.org
