Create a Matchstick Garden

{By Lauren ~ October 10, 2008}

My new favorite thing to give at birthday parties is the Matchstick Garden!  These adorable little matchbooks are filled with what looks like paper sticks inside. But give them a bit of dirt, water, sunshine and in a few weeks you’ll have a lovely little garden!

You can buy them in four different assortments: Wildflowers, Mixed Herbs, Italian Garden or Mixed Greens.  With the nippy fall weather keeping us indoors more, it’s so nice to still have flowers to care for.  Plus, it’s such a fun way to teach your kids about growing a garden and making the world a bit more green!
