Contests
Here’s the nitty gritty on the contests. I will have contests and giveaways often. I will usually require that readers send an email to contest@littlewindowshoppe.com with either the current contest code word so that I know you want to be entered into the drawing, or (depending on the contest), I may require that you submit a witty or clever response about why you would be the best candidate to win the giveaway.
How we choose:
On the contest cut-off date, I will add up all of the emailed entries and assign a number to each one (this way I can keep your names anonymous when I am reviewing the final entries).
- For the random drawings, I will submit the numbers to the List Generator at random.org and it will randomly arrange them for me. Finally to choose the lucky winner, I will take the top randomized number and match it with the assigned name and announce the winner on my website.
- For the favorite response drawings, I will put my amazing review skills to work. I will read all of the numbered entries and choose the most clever and witty response I can find. Once I choose the response, I will announce the winner on my website.
**Just a little note, please be sure to leave your name and email so that I may contact you if you win. This way I may validate your entry and can be sure that I am giving the prize to the right person. To be fair to each of you, when I am deciding on the best response, I will hide your names from the entries to keep the names completely anonymous to me. Once the best response is chosen, I will match it back with the winning name.**
And there you have it, quite fair, yet not too sophisticated.
I will contact you (the winner) by email and will give you three days to respond and claim your prize. If I haven’t heard from you after three days, I’ll send you a ”last chance” notice and then I will need to contact the next person on the list. You must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada to enter. Contests will end at midnight on the day before I am scheduled to draw a winner. You are welcome to enter each and every time there is a new giveaway on my site if you want to! Although, please only one entry per person per giveaway, so that it is fair to everyone playing. Thank you for playing fair.
Your contest reward will be sent to you either by email, (if it is an online gift certificate code) or by mail (if it is a tangible item) within a week (approximately). Unfortunately, I cannot completely guarantee the mail system and am not responsible for postal problems that may occur. *However, I want you to be happy and if anything does happen to your package in the mail, please notify me so that I may try to replace your prize.
