Charms and Bracelets

September 30, 2008 by Emily · 5 Comments

If you have a secret crush on handcrafted charms, bracelets and metal jewelry, then you will love this post. These two jewelry shops display artistic talent in each bead and jewel.

Studio Jewel

Studio Jewel is so much more than “just” design jewelry. What really motivates Lisa (the designer) are the pieces that she designs to raise money or awareness for different causes and events. She calls it her Purpose-”FULL” line. This line contains different pieces that are meant to bring AWARENESS or tell a story with things like Heart Disease Awareness, AIDS Awareness, True Love Waits or God Looks on the Heart.

Charming-Lamb

The Charming Lamb aims to capture your thoughts on life, your inspirations and timeless sentiments in sterling silver by creating charms and custom jewelry for every occasion. These pieces are great for anytime wear and are perfect for when you want to feel accessorized without drawing too much attention. And their novelty charms will help to enhance your purse, handbags, cell phones and necklaces.

Tame Your Ribbon

September 29, 2008 by Michelle · 7 Comments

If you are like me and love to do crafts you know how difficult ribbon can be to manage.  Well I have found the perfect solution for you!  I use ribbon daily for my lunchboxes and I always had mine stored in a little basket.  As cute as my little basket was, it didn’t help me with keeping my ribbon organized.  Then I found the Ribbon Ring

ribbon

Melissa is the creative lady behind the Ribbon Ring and I am so happy she is letting us all in our her little secret.  She was another gal, just like me, who loved to do crafts but always had her ribbon in a mess.  She came up with the idea to hang the ribbon on little tags and put the tags on a ring. So clever, so simple, so neat!  You can purchase the ribbon tags in bundles of 30, 60 or 90.  I have the pack of 30 and still have 20 available tags to use!  It took me about 20 minutes to get my ribbons onto the Ribbon Ring.

You can see how easy it is by the photos, because I had one of my boys pulling on my legs the whole time.  Mommy has to get this ribbon organized!  Not only did Melissa design a clever ring, she went a step further and added little adhesive dots to place on your tag.  These dots remind you that you have more ribbon unopened waiting for you.  You could also use the dots to let you know that this is the end of your ribbon roll.

What to do with the extra ribbon still unopened?  I put mine all in a clear vase as an accessory on my desk.  Now my ribbon is so easy to get too.  I just pick the pattern I want and pull one piece right off.  Not only is it easy, but it’s still so cute, without the mess.  Enjoy and here’s to taming your ribbon!

Autumn Adorable

September 26, 2008 by Lauren · 10 Comments

This is my favorite time of year!  The evenings are getting chilly, the mornings are a bit brisk, and I’m happily digging through our hall closet for furry scarves and soft, snuggly caps.  I just love bundling my kiddos in hand-knits for a little afternoon leaf-stomping!  Etsy is by far the best place to find wonderful wool accessories for your little ones – check out a few of my faves for this Fall:

It think it’s adorable to see vinyl lettering descriptively outline family names, mottos or quotes on the wall of a kitchen or family room. To me, this family signature adds just the right touch of art to a wall and creates a welcoming atmosphere.

Scribble It creates darling ”original scribbles”, wall art and decals to adorn your walls, your car or to give as gifts. With a beautiful variety of fonts and quotes, you can customize a decal that is just right for you. Do you have vinyl lettering in your home? Do you want to?

Natitys Baby Gear Covers

September 26, 2008 by Emily · 5 Comments

It starts out small, one cracker mess here, one bottle spill there and before you know it, the cute gift that you received at your baby shower (and use all of the time) is in dire need of a thorough cleaning. I am learning that having covers for as much baby gear as possible is the way to go.

Natitys

Now I believe you can get all sorts of baby gear covers (for car seats, pillows and such) at Walmart and Target, but the selection is pretty limited and sometimes sparse depending on how often they have them in stock.

Instead, I want to introduce you to Natitys. An online studio boutique for baby-inspired items like Nursing Covers, Car Seat Covers, Shopping Cart covers, Boppie Pillow covers and more great gifts. I love that they are stylish and affordable. You can buy cute nursing covers for as low as $24. You can also save up to 30% on car seat covers too! Wouldn’t one of these car seat covers be nice to have during a road trip?

So not only are their designs darling but very affordable and easy to do. Check out Over The Tipsy Top for their latest on Halloween décor that will have all your friends asking, “Where did you get that?!?”
