101 Things to Do with a Cake Mix
by emily | March 26, 2008
For Sweet Delights, Death by Chocolate, and Delicious Dirt, ”101 Things to do With a Cake Mix” by Stephanie Ashcraft is a crowd pleaser in so many “tasty” ways. Using the most basic ingredients: the cake mix, brown sugar, eggs, oil, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, nuts and flour, these 101 yummy recipes are easy and fun for the whole family.
In fact, the last chapter of the book is specifically for children and is called “Children’s Delights” and includes recipes for an American Flag Cake and even a Halloween Spider Cake!

Book price: $10 or less
I received my copy of this book from a friend and I love using it! Most of the recipes are simple and easy to make, you will often see only three or four ingredients for each recipe. Find it just about anywhere books are sold including my favorites - Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
I also recently discovered that there are actually more of the “101 Things to do with…” books for tofu, yogurt, salads, slow cookers, ramen noodles, potatoes, and more. There’s a book for just about every palate.
Which is your favorite?
